Dr. Vincent Maida is a leading figure in palliative medicine and wound care, with a career marked by exceptional contributions to healthcare and medical education. Based at the William Osler Health System in Toronto, he has pioneered advancements in palliative services, including the establishment of the region's first dedicated palliative care unit. His work encompasses over 30 original research publications and numerous textbook chapters, underscoring his expertise in pain management, symptom control, and quality end-of-life care. Dr. Maida's scholarly impact is reflected in over 800 citations of his research globally.
His commitment to patient-centered care and education has earned him significant recognition, including two Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Medals. An active contributor to medical conferences, Dr. Maida has presented in 17 countries and more than 50 cities worldwide.
