Nurse Career and Education

There are accelerated nursing programmes, combined bachelor's and master's degree programmes, and master's degree programmes in nursing. Basic nursing care is delivered by licenced practical nurses (LPNs) and licenced vocational nurses (LVNs). In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of new nurses entering the workforce. In emergency medical situations, paramedics and emergency medical technicians (EMTs) provide care for the ill and injured. To provide primary and specialist healthcare, nurse midwives, nurse anaesthetists, and nurse practitioners coordinate patient care. The majority of registered nurses collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals as a team. Licensed practical nurses, social workers, and nursing assistants are all under the supervision of some registered nurses. By educating individuals about disease warning signs and symptoms, registered nurses can help to promote public health.
